Last week I headed to Philadelphia with Brian for a last minute photo shoot of the metal band, Swarm of Arrows. Fronted by Brian’s longtime friend and co-worker Keats, I had met him a few times over the last year and he’s great guy, but I had some second thoughts on a shoot in the City of Brotherly Shove in complete darkness. I can’t be the only one who hates the sun setting at 4:30 in the winter, but I guess the sun isn’t very metal now is it? Lucky for me, Brian was an amazing VALS, a photography acronym for voice activated light stand and without his help, this shoot would have never been a success. One of the photos was used for the announcement by Decibel Magazine of the Video Premiere, and the feedback on the new video is great!
One of my personal favorites from the shoot was maybe the 5th frame shot that evening. Be sure to follow these guys on Facebook and support local musicians!
