Andy gave me the opportunity to shoot an event next Friday and I realized I didn’t have any business cards made up, nor did I have anything with my new colors and fonts in them from the site redesign. In about 10 minutes I through together two quick drafts in Photoshop and Scott polished them for me. The end result is below and I am very pleased. More than likely, the top right corner will be chopped off at a 45 degree angle on both cards but that is not yet set in stone. The goal was a simple, clean design that isn’t hidden by over-done graphics and cleary states who I am, what I do and how to get in contact with me.

First design is a somewhat standard white card; the black border was only added so it didn’t blend into the background here in the blog posting.

Second design is a play off the colors in the logo here; I was a bit leery laying out the colors but overall I am happy with the end result.

You may notice the lack of email address on both cards, this was done on purpose. The goal is to have people call me directly so I can speak with them or to visit the site and use the contact form to send me a message. Either way, I’d like visitors and customers of mine to have a personable experience, something I feel email doesn’t offer.

Since the site was launched, the RSS feed option has been available. Since I know a lot of people still don’t get what RSS is, how to use it or how utterly rad it really can be for tracking numerous websites, I’ve added a subscribe via email option. It is located on the right side, bottom of this site, at all times.

Please note, this is a double opt in service. What that means to you is that upon clicking the Subscribe button a pop-up window will appear where you will be asked to enter some randomly generated numbers and letters called Captcha. Once that is done, please check your email, there should be one in your inbox asking you to click a link to make sure you really want to subscribe, do so. At this point, you are now subscribed. If no email has come within five minutes or so, please check your spam or deleted folder.

I will never give, sell, publish your email addresses. I have nothing to gain and everything to loose from doing so.

You can really opt out and cancel without a hassle if you find the email updates annoying for whatever reason.

You will only receive updates made to the blog itself, not the portfolio pages or any other part of the site. Generally speaking though, as new content is added, I update the blog along with it. If no updates are made, you will not receive any emails.
