Over the last few years I’ve had the pleasure of shooting Jaclyn and Ryan, from their wedding day to Christmas with their first child, Kali, then again the following year with the new family members, twins Lincoln and Logan. Time really seems to be flying because last month the boys turned one! Family and friends gathered at the house on a sunny and warm day and I was on hand to capture some memories for everyone. Jaclyn themed the event with her very own handmade sock monkeys and the boys’ aunt, Jaclyn’s own twin sister Kristie brought the floral arrangements. I’ve had the pleasure of shooting this family for so many years now that they make me feel apart of theirs.

Black Friday is traditionally for shopping, I spent mine outside on one of the most beautiful, unseasonably warm fall days shooting a great family. Last year Walter contacted me about a family shoot, a gift to his wife, with the intention of doing it in spring. Life got in the way and it was postponed until last month, for this we were rewarded with wonderful weather. Family friend Marcella actually scouted the location for me and tagged along to help out with the family’s dog, Shea, who couldn’t have been any better and in my eyes, would have been an ideal subject for Normal Rockwell. We spent a few hours shooting and I’m thrilled with the results, totally worth the wait!

Long time friends Lexi and Matt contacted me about doing their holiday photos, only we weren’t sure of a location. After a few days they suggested the farm that Matt’s Grandmother lives on, about 20 minutes outside of town. Having been there, I quickly recalled fond memories and instantly agreed it would be the perfect setting for their photos. Despite the weather throwing a curve ball at us, the girls were troopers in the unseasonably cold temperatures and overcast day. There are so many wonderful moments of this beautiful family that I was able to capture, choosing just a few for this blog post proved to be difficult.

Last fall Adam contacted me to do a shoot for the holidays with his family. We had a date set but due to the craziness going on, that December date got bumped to January and I think we all can agree we’re kind of glad it did. At the end of the first week of January was perhaps one of the most perfect atypical days, temperatures rose into the low 50′s and we had a bright blue sky for the morning of our shoot. Staci and Adam met me at a park they frequent with their kids and we let them run wild. They each have such unique and different personalities which I focused on capturing, and their interactions with their parents. During the shoot I also managed to steal some intimate moments of Adam and Staci, the whole morning was pretty amazing and I think the photos shot that.
