For almost half my life I’ve known Keith, and I’m pretty sure I can recall the exact day that he met Becky.  It seemed as if from that day they would always be together, through all of Keith’s obsession and Becky’s dutchy crazy ways, June 18, 2009 was inevitable.  Last week a bunch of us packed up a week’s worth of clothing, some swim trunks and good attitudes and made the several thousand miles flight (complete with horrible layovers, gate changes and flight changes) to St. Thomas to attend their wedding.  Truth be told, most of us attending wanted to see if Keith would actually go through with it; the other reason was the antics before and after the wedding with the crew assembled for this trip would be worth several years worth of story telling.

The weather leading up to the wedding day was iffy at best, small rain storms seemed to come and go daily between 4 and 7pm, the exact time the wedding would take place on Thursday.  Everyone was a bit on edge as there was no backup plan, they were to be married on the beach no matter what. As evident in the photos, the weather more than held up and it was neither too hot, nor too chilly and everyone had a great time.  While I was invited as a guest, it would be silly to leave my camera gear at home so I stayed out of the way of the hired guy and quietly snapped some shots.  As far as weddings go, this one was probably the best.  Any service that can get the name Porky Pants injected into it by the minister should, even he laughed as he said it.
